Research-First
Every brand history, model specification, and buying guide is built from primary sources: manufacturer technical documents, official press materials, and direct reference to physical timepieces.
Editorially Independent
No watch brand pays for editorial placement. Content ranking, guide recommendations, and model assessments reflect merit, collector consensus, and horological significance - not commercial relationships.
Regularly Updated
Specifications change, prices move, and new references launch. Pages are reviewed and updated on a rolling basis to ensure accuracy. Last-updated dates are included on key reference content.
Editorial Standards
1. Source Hierarchy
Primary sources take precedence: official manufacturer specifications, press releases, and in-house documents. Secondary sources (trusted watch journalism, auction house records) are cross-referenced. Unverified forum claims or social media speculation are never used as editorial fact.
2. Fact-Checking Protocol
All specifications (case diameter, water resistance, movement caliber, power reserve) are verified against at least two independent sources before publication. Historical claims - founding dates, invention credits, patent records - are verified against official brand archives or peer-reviewed horological literature.
3. Affiliate & Commercial Disclosure
WorldWideWatch may earn referral commissions from purchases made through links to authorized dealers and resale platforms. This compensation never influences editorial assessments, rankings, or recommendations. Commercial relationships are disclosed in our Affiliate Disclosure page.
4. Corrections Policy
We are committed to correcting factual errors promptly. If you identify inaccurate information, please contact us via the Contact page with a subject line of 'Correction Request.' All corrections are reviewed within 5 business days and applied with a notation where material changes are made.
5. No Pay-to-Play
Brands, dealers, and marketplaces cannot purchase editorial coverage, positive reviews, or preferential placement. The inclusion or exclusion of any brand, model, or guide topic is determined entirely by editorial merit and reader interest.
6. Expertise Requirement
All substantive content - brand histories, collector guides, valuation frameworks - is written or reviewed by individuals with direct experience in luxury watch collecting, horological research, or professional watch dealing.
The Team

Ira Zoot is the founder of iDigits LLC and the driving force behind WorldWideWatch. A longtime technology entrepreneur and passionate watch collector, Ira started the site to fill a gap he experienced as a collector: a single, trustworthy source covering brand history, model specifications, buying guidance, and collector intelligence - without the noise of paid rankings or brand PR.
His personal collection spans Swiss sports watches to independent haute horlogerie, giving WorldWideWatch's editorial perspective the grounding of real collecting experience rather than arm's-length research.
Content Quality Commitments
Collector-First Perspective
Content is written to help real collectors make better decisions - not to serve brand narratives or commercial agendas.
Depth Over Volume
We prioritize deep, authoritative coverage of fewer topics over shallow coverage of many. Quality over quantity, always.
No AI-Only Content
All published guides and brand pages are drafted, reviewed, and fact-checked by knowledgeable human editors. AI tools assist but do not replace editorial judgment.
Transparent Attribution
Data, statistics, and claims drawn from external sources are attributed. Where specific citations are available, they are linked or noted.
Collector Community Input
Feedback from experienced collectors informs content improvements. We actively monitor collector forums and communities to ensure our guidance reflects real-world experience.
Accessibility & Inclusivity
Content is written to be accessible to beginners without condescending to experienced collectors. Technical depth is balanced with clear explanations.
